A little complaining

I have nothing going on, but at the same time have so much going on. My head is killing me! Please migraine go away....I miss morgan. I know I have posted that before but I really do. I miss Kevin A LOT! I also miss Rita! I love the lil town I live in....we get to walk everywhere. Tomorrows goal is to wake up early tomorrow. its so hard to do, BUT I have to do it!!!!

Start of my day

Decided to start my morning with a walk with my lil girl. We got up ate some toast together then got outside and just started walking....we probably walked for about 15 min then ran into a friend....We decided to walk over to her place and sky got to play with her two lil kids. They all had lunch together then it was time to take Sky to school...She is going to be wiped out by the time shes done at school....but the day wont be over, then it will be time to walk to the post office and see if the package from daddy came in. Tonight we have a dinner invite to go have mexican food...yummy! Everything seems to working out just right today.

Missing Daddy

Sky & I have been up in Illinois now for 10 days without my other half. Before I left Mississippi I cried for days because I knew how much I would miss him. Its not quit as hard as I thought it was going to be only because I have Skyler and both dogs so they keep me busy, but it is hard emotionally. I miss having adult conversation just about anything. I miss hearing the door open and listening to Sky yell "Daddy" and the dogs going crazy when he walks in from work. Kev is my other half and he truly does complete me. I have no idea what I would do without him....Note To Kevin: Your stuck with me FOREVER! :D

Maybe in a couple weeks I can start slowly purchasing a couple things here and there. . .One of my fav places to shop is Maurices, and the best thing is that there is a Maurices Outlet 15 min down the road from me. . .Kevin should be very very concerned ;)

Rain

Today has been a lovely relaxing day. I got up kind of late this morning. Got sky ready for school and just hung out while she was in school. Went to go pick her up and it was PORING!!! I was soaking wet by the time sky and I got home. It was fun though.

In the AM

Started my day off with my fav....Iced Coffee & Toast along with a chapter of "Hunger Games"

Italian Chicken Salad

I had to go out to the grocery store which is like 15 min away....and to some thats not to far but it is when I'm use to going 3 min down the road to get EVERYTHING! I hate to say it but I kind of miss being near a walmart. I'm even contimplating at this point to join Sam's Club....which in my house is 2 four letter words. We are a costco family! But anyways, Sky and I had to go out to the market to get bread. No bread = no pb&j, and well that would be a terrible day for Sky. 

When I got home I couldnt figure out what I wanted so I started putting the groceries away and realized that I had everything in order to make a super yummy salad. So heres what I put together

My version of an Italian Chicken Salad

1 half a head of iceberg lettuce or 1 head romaine lettuce

1 cup diced prepared and cooled chicken

1/2 large tomato

2 hard boiled eggs

1/2 a large cucumber

Your choice of Italian Dressing

Chop everything up and throw it in a bowl 

&

Yay to a delicious Salad

Apple Dumpling Festival

Today I woke up to Skyler and Sierra playing in the living room.

I heard the phone ring and she was talking to "Grandma with the stairs". I noticed very quickly that Sky was back to her old self and had gotten rid of that icky sickness. We got ourselves ready for the day and went down to main street to the Apple Dumpling Festival. Its a festival that they have yearly here in Atwood IL. When you go down there you can't leave without one of those yummy apple dumpling desserts.

After we got our dessert we went back down to main street and got ready for the parade. We ran into a new friend Bonnie so we sat with her during the parade. All the people that are in the parade throw candy to the kids and its a lot of fun!! Here are some of the pictures I got of the parade.

I think we are going to head back up to Main St. I guess they have a car show with a whole bunch of old cars. Maybe I will post a couple pictures of that if I find any cool cars.

Yummy and Easy to make Chicken Salad

I was cleaning out the pantry and found 2 cans of shredded chicken and they needed to be used or they were going to go bad. So I decided that I would make some chicken salad. I've never made it before and it turned out pretty well considering I used whatever I had in my fridge.

2 cans chicken
3 celery sticks
2 hard boiled eggs
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or almonds)
1 cup mayo
salt & pepper to taste
diced up grapes (optional)

I chopped everything up put it in a bowl and mixed. SO SUPER EASY!

I was going to put a pic of the finish product but to be honest it didn't photo well. It was mighty tasty though!

A new chapter

I can't figure out what I need to do inorder to keep blogging on a daily basis. I always say when I blog that I enjoy the time spent just escaping into my own but then it takes me FOREVER to continue....

I have had SOOO many changes in my life in the last couple of months. For the first time in years I can say that everything is falling into place just the way that I think they should. I'm so happy in my marriage and I just thank the lord that I have such an amazing husband by my side. My daughter needless to say is amazing! 

So in the last couple of months my husband and I have decided to take on a new adventure with my parents. We decided to leave the state Mississippi and move to the state of Illinois. We wanted to move to a small town and open our own business. Skyler would start pre-school  when we moved and all would be the way we had always hoped for.

About 2 weeks ago I got a call from Skylers school saying that there was a spot for her. If I wanted her to attend that I would have to start her on the following tuesday which was only 7 days away from when I received that phone call. So at that point I started packing up as much as I could for sky, our 2 dogs and I. I moved 6-7 hours away from my home in Mississippi and I moved all of us in my 2011 Jetta. What a mission. It was cramped to say the least but it all went well.

Skyler started school on Wed and she absolutely LOVED it!!! She enjoyed her teacher and all her new friends. She came home with a happy face sticker which means she stayed on a green card (I guess that means she was a good girl all day). After she got out of school we went over and played at Mrs. Sams house with a whole bunch a little kids. Then we had a dinner invite at our neighbors house and that was a GREAT time. We came home and sky said she wasn't feeling so good so she went and laid down....from that point the stomach virus started :( It was terrible. Today is friday and she didnt go to school yesterday or today. Poor thing!!! She seems to be doing better today but hopefully she will continue to do better tomorrow.

Oh ya and I already locked myself out of the house. I had to have 2 different guys help me get back into the house where Skyler was so I thought asleep in bed. Anyways it all worked out and I got back in. :D  Embarrassing!!!

Today I got all our clothes hung up and organized in our closet so that was a huge accomplishment. Now I need to start on the kitchen pantry so I can put my groceries away.

Sky's first day of Pre-School

I have to say the hardest thing about this entire adventure is missing some of my besties and my HUBBY! Its sooooo hard to be away from everyone. I have made some new friends here and they all have kids around Sky's age so that part is good. I miss Morgan and Rita lots. Sky tells me everyday how much she misses her daddy and that he is taking a long time to get here :(  I get to see Rita in a couple weeks I think and my hubby too....We are celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary on September 9th YAY....GO US!!! Love you babe!!!
